Hot for Paris with Mademoiselle X

Who doesn't love a Parisienne-inspired collection?

I've been wavering more towards "modern pinup" since the beginning of the year. I shorter hemlines and 60s inspired outfits have been more flattering on me lately, but I still love the delicate details and red lips of the 50s. Mademoiselle X popped up in my feed only a few weeks ago and I instantly knew I needed a piece or two, as they tick every box!

I feel awful that I didn't save the packaging the dress came in, as it was wrapped with such care. All packages come wrapped in pink ribbon and a luxe, custom-printed tissue paper. The love that goes into the wrapping is just a taste of what's to come once you open it up and reveal a gorgeous dress or two!

he collection is currently small, thank heavens, because I've been doing so many clothing orders in preparation for our trip to Europe that I needed a simple choice. The Hot for Paris Dress was a natural selection.

Mademoiselle X focuses on simple silhouettes and delicate touches. Details like a tiny scalloped hem on the collar, velvet bows and blended waistbands complement the tighter form and shorter hemlines. And yes, the Hot for Paris dress will make you feel like a more mature Catholic school girl - in a good way.

Sizing goes from AU 8 to size AU 16. The stretch knit means it will form fit a range of sizes. I am generally more of a size 6 and, as you can see, the size 8 fits very well.

Last but not least, ladies - it is $25 AUD for international shipping, regardless of package size. This is one of the least expensive options I have seen for international shipping, and speaks well for customer care for Mademoiselle X! Go and get your Hot for Paris dress before it's too late, and have a browse through the rest of the collection while you are at it <3

As for a personal update

We leave for Europe in 2 weeks!! My husband has been feeling emotional about it because he is returning to his hometown in Montenegro for the first time in over a decade, and  am feeling emotional about Paris because we are considering it as a gift from my late father.

I have been on break from University for 2 months now and I honestly can't wait to get back into it. I have been reading philosophy books and doing lots of girly catch ups and extra gym sessions, but I have a deep love of learning (and good grades, if this school girl inspired dress tells you anything).

My new job has meant so much more work/life balance than I could have hoped for. It's common in most recruitment agencies, but somehow my colleagues and I had next to no freedom in my last company. Here we work from home once per week, I do school drop offs once a week or so, and there is no excessive focus on alcohol and late night outings. It's been amazing and I am so thankful.

So my question to you all is, what are you reading or watching at the moment? I need to soak up all the extra time I can before school's back on.

Thank you so much for reading!
